INFORMATION ABOUT US

We are C. Hagelstam Antiquarian Bookstore (C. Hagelstamin Antikvaarinen Kirjakauppa Oy – C. Hagelstams Antikvariska Bokhandel Ab), a company registered in Finland, our VAT-number is FI07768143. Our main address is Fredrikinkatu 35, 00120 Helsinki, Finland.

This page tells you information about us and clarifies the legal terms and conditions on which we sell books, maps and prints through our website. We sell books, maps and prints to Finland and all over theworld.

We reserve the right to vary these terms and prices. These terms apply from 1 March 2021. We may revise them from time to time.

PRODUCTS AND PRICES

The prices of our online store’s products are shown by each product’s description. Used books are in the domain of marginal tax; nor do the prices include deductible tax.

DELIVERY FEES

The products in our online store do not include shipping fees. When the order is made, we check the availability of the product and the postage for the shipment. The final price including shipping fees will be confirmed to the customer by a separate e-mail. The postage of the order depends on its size and destination.

Shipping fees (Finland):

4,50 € for letter-sized shipments (height under 3,5 cm).

5,50 € for package-sized shipments (height over 3,5 cm).

The shipping fees for package-sized shipments is 5,50 € regardless of the amount of books in the package.

Shipping fees (abroad):

We follow the contract price lists of Posti and DHL delivering abroad, trying to find a shipping method that is both cheap and fast. Shipping fees to different countries may vary greatly. Packages delivering outside EU may be targeted with an import duty. The import duty will be on the customer’s expense.

We offer a tracking number for all of our shipments.

ORDERING

The product is ordered by moving it to the cart in our online store. The order is registered by filling in the required contact information and choosing the desirable option for delivery (shipment or pick-up from the bookstore). We will confirm the order by e-mail as soon as we have ensured the availability and the condition of the product, as well as the postage. There will be exact payment instructions in the e-mail. Customers can pay the order by a debit/credit card or a bank transfer. Public organisations and other book stores can also pay by invoice.

When ordering, we demand that you have familiarized and committed to the terms and conditions at the time. We also demand that you have accepted the price(s) of the product(s) and that you are aware of the shipping fees added to the price.

If you want to just have a look at a product from our online store, you can order the product as usual and choose the “pick up” option for delivery. The customer is not obliged to redeem any products that they have ordered, instead they can decide whether they want to purchase the product after they have taken a look at the product at our book store (Fredrikinkatu 35).

If you want more information about the products, there is a “Request”-button by the description of the product. You can also ask any questions concerning the products via e-mail (hagelstam[at]gmail.com).

PAYMENT AND PAYMENT METHOD

You can pay the online orders by either bank transfer or credit cart payment. We will send the payment instructions in the order confirmation e-mail. The conveyor for card payments is Bambora PayForm (Paybyway, 2486559-4). More information about the conveyor below.

We will send our account information and a payment link for the card payment in our order confirmation e-mail. The order is not paid directly in the online store, but after receiving the order confirmation e-mail.

In the event that the order is fetched from our book store (Fredrikinkatu 35), the customer can pay the order via debit/credit card or by cash.

ORDER AND PAYMENT CONFIRMATION

After a successful order, our online store will send an automatic order confirmation (in English) to the e-mail address given when ordering. After the automatic message, we will send a new confirmation order where we will inform the customer about the final price and payment instructions.

If we can’t confirm your order for some reason, we will e-mail you about it as soon as possible.

SHIPPING METHOD

Shipments to Finland will be delivered primarily by Posti either as a letter (height under 3 cm) in primary distribution or as a parcel. Packages abroad will be delivered either by Posti or DHL.

Other shipping methods are possible when singly agreed.

All deliveries can be retrieved from our bookstore during opening hours.

SHIPPING TIME

We will handle orders from the online store as soon as possible, though during the bookstore’s opening hours. There can be small delay in handling the orders during holidays. We will send the order as soon as the payment is visible in our account. Please take into consideration the fact that the payment between different online bank services may take up to 1-2 working days to complete. Regarding Posti’s services, the shipping time in Finland is 1-3 working days. If you are in a hurry with your order, please inform us when ordering.

Books retrieved from the bookstore will be available within one working day from ordering.

RETURNS AND RECLAMATION

Products ordered from the online store have a 14 day return right by Finland’s law of consumer protection. We will handle returns and reclamations case-by-case, so when reclaiming we ask the customer to contact us directly. An order not retrieved is not equal to a return.

Check your product as soon as you have it. Faults and errors due to delivery have to be reported within 14 days of receiving the product.

Products retrieved and bought from the bookstore have a return right, if we have made an agreement about a purchase on approval deal with the customer. The consideration period for the purchase on approval deal is logged in the receipt.

THE PAYMENT FACILITATOR

Visma Pay (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of the online shop. Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland. The payment process is conducted in the online service of Visma Pay. Visma Pay or Paybyway Oy is shown as the receiver of your payment in the bank account listing and in your invoice. Paying with Visma Pay is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections.

The trade happens between the online customer and the online shop. The online shop is responsible for all obligations related to the trade.

With Visma Pay you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, Jousto, Enterpay Company Invoice, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.
