Knowledge and Belief is an attempt to understand the logical behavior of the two crucial epistemological notions mentioned in the title. A few simple assumptions concerning these notions are made and defended. By any means of a number of detailed examinations of representative problems it is argued that these simple assumptions really explain many apparently discrepant features of the logic of knowledge and belief.
