Volume 2 is of similar size as the first volume. Chapters have been elaborated by 42 specialists from 18 countries. Of the 63 families dealt with in the second volume, 26 had not been recorded from the UAE. One new tribe, four new genera and one new subgenus are erected in this volume; 83 new species and 2 new subspecies new to science are described. In total some 390 species are added to the species already known in the UAE.
