    Flora Agaricina Danica. Published under the auspices of the Society for Advancement of Mycology in Denmark and the Danish Botanical Society. Vol. I-V.

     

    Copenhagen, Recato A/S, 1935-1940. Complete with 200 plates illustrating the various fungi of the Agaricales taxonomical order found in Denmark.

     

    Five volumes bound in two – Text and Tab. respectively. Bound in blue half leather binding with blue cloth covers. Flat spine with gilt rolls and title. Text and plates bound in one volume, respectively.

     

    Some minor wear and scratches. Pages and plates in very good condition.

     

    First edition. The major opus of the prominent Danish mycologist J. E. Lange. Lange studied gilled mushrooms and his lifetime of work is crystalized in these two volumes. The exquisite illustrative plates present numerous species of fungi, most of which can be found in other Nordic countries as well.
